On Tuesday, April 30, the city attorney withdrew the permit for Wally Remmers’s proposed project at 4419-4439 NE Fremont St., citing a “material error” discovered in the record of the city’s permitting decision. The city attorney had been reviewing the record to submit it as required to the state Land Use Board of Appeals (LUBA) as part of the appeal brought by petitioners Beaumont-Wilshire Neighbors for Responsible Growth.
While no details were given as to the specific reason for withdrawing the permit, members of Beaumont-Wilshire Neighbors for Responsible Growth continue to press for a project that’s more in scale with the neighborhood, along with mitigation for traffic and public safety impacts, among other concerns.
The next meeting for Beaumont-Wilshire Neighbors for Responsible Growth will be announced later this week. Check http://bwnrg.blogspot.com for details.
